ON-DEMAND WEBINAR

What to expect

A new Model Complaints Handling Procedure (MCHP) is being introduced by the Northern Ireland Public Services Ombudsman (NIPSO) across all of Health and Social Care, including General Dental Services from 1 January 2026. The MCHP was published on 1 July and can be accessed here

With a short guide being issued to Family Practitioner Service providers in October, practices must review their patient complaints handling procedures and ensure these are updated to be fully compliant with the changes coming into place relating to Health Service Care provided.

This is a recording of a live webinar that was delivered in November 2025. It is available for all members of the dental team to access on a complimentary basis.  A CPD certificate will be available to download once viewing of this online lecture has been completed.

Learning objectives

  • Understand the broad requirements of the new Model Complaints Handling Procedure being applied to all of HSC, including how this will relate to GDS from 1 January 26
