Learning objectives

• Be able to classify orthodontic cases as simple, moderately difficult and complicated
• Feel confident in referring orthodontic cases to the most appropriate treatment provider
• Understand some of the principles in planning orthodontic treatment and some of the modern mechanics used to achieve a good outcome in challenging cases

Meet the speaker

Mark qualified from Sheffield Dental School in 2000 before undertaking a variety of Senior House Officer, Dental Officer and General Dental Practitioner roles, starting basic specialist training on the Cardiff scheme in 2010 before proceeding with higher specialist training under the Oxford Deanery, passing the ISFE in 2015. Mark currently works within the NHS as both a Consultant Orthodontist at The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and in Specialist Orthodontic Practice in Peterborough. Outside of work Mark has a passion for aviation, an impressive Lego collection and an interest in the rise of East Coast Hip-Hop in the USA.
