What to expect
This webinar (particularly relevant for Foundation Dentists) aims to help those starting out prepare for working life as an associate.
Working as a dental associate means operating as a self-employed professional within a practice environment, taking on responsibilities that differ in important ways from those of an employed dentist. As a self-employed associate, you manage your own business, provide clinical services under an agreement with a practice, and take responsibility for the financial, professional, and administrative aspects of your work.
Learning objectives
- Learn what an associate agreement is
- Understand self-employed status and what that means
- Be aware of recent changes to NHS contracts
- Understand how your pay will be calculated (including income and deductions)
- Consider the importance of financial planning and maintenance of records.
