Avijit is Professor of Cariology & Operative Dentistry, Faculty of Dentistry, Oral & Craniofacial Sciences (FoDOCS), King’s College London, & Hon. Consultant in  Restorative Dentistry, Guy’s & St. Thomas’ Hospitals Foundation Trust, London, UK. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the BDJ Portfolio,.  He has been awarded the John Tomes Medal from the BDA (2025) for his services to the profession and is an Hon Consultant Advisor to the OCDO, England.
