IN-PERSON EVENT, hosted by BDA Wessex Branch and Hampshire and Isle of Wight Local Dental Committee

What to expect

AI is becoming an increasingly familiar part of everyday dental practice, supporting teams with diagnostics, workflow efficiency, record keeping and patient care. As these technologies develop, it is essential for the whole dental team to understand not only what AI can do, but also its limitations, risks and practical impact on daily practice.

This half‑day programme provides a balanced and practical introduction to AI in dentistry, combining real‑world case studies, clinical insight and strategic context. You will explore how trustworthy, clinician‑led AI tools are already being applied in dental practices, how to critically assess emerging technologies, and what developments may shape the future of patient care.

The programme also places AI within the wider political and regulatory landscape, helping delegates understand how innovation aligns with current policy, contract changes and professional regulation. With content relevant to every role in the dental team, the event offers valuable insight, practical learning and opportunities for discussion and networking over lunch.
