What to expect

Healthcare systems globally are subject to high demand with insufficient funding available to deliver all potential healthcare interventions. Policymakers must make difficult choices about which interventions to fund within limited budgets. Join us for a thought-provoking lecture with speaker Heather Cassie.

The lecture will focus on:

  • Exploring the meaning of 'Realistic Dentistry' with a particular focus on shared decision-making in primary care
  • Learning about the pressures on healthcare systems and how they have to ‘value’ different procedures
  • Understanding the NICE recommendations
