Visiting us
The library is be open to visitors from 10.00 to 16.00 every Wednesday and Thursday.
You will need to make an appointment if you wish to spend more than a few minutes browsing in the library.
You may browse without making an appointment but we reserve the right to prevent you from entering the library in order to comply with social distancing.
We offer free Wi-Fi and printing, photocopying facilities and a relaxing space to work in as well as face to face contact with experienced library professionals!
Non-member visitors
Those who are eligible to join the BDA may not visit without first
becoming BDA members.
Those who are not eligible to join the BDA may visit the library for reference purposes BY PRIOR APPOINTMENT ONLY.

Origins
Opened in 1920 the Robert and Lilian Lindsay library was founded and organised by
Lilian Lindsay, the first woman to qualify as a dentist in the UK. Currently it is the most comprehensive dental library in Europe.
