Forty topics were debated at the recent Local Dental Committees Annual Conference in Belfast, which was attended by 240 dentists.

The BDA is alerting dentistst that from 1 July 2018, UK law states that dental amalgam should not be used in the treatment of children under 15 years' old, and in pregnant or breastfeeding women, except when deemed strictly necessary by a dentist based on the specific medical needs of the patient.
The BDA is calling on general dental and specialist practitioners to share their experiences of working in dental practice across the UK.
