This has been a successful year for BDA NI Branch in 2019.
I have been thrilled by the record attendance numbers at our CPD events, the friendships, the learning and the valuable feedback received. Looking back over year, it has been one high point after another.
At the Presidential Installation in the spectacular Riddel Hall, we were delighted to be joined by guests Naomi Long MLA and BDA President 2018/19, Susie Sanderson.
March 2019 saw the innovative 'Teeth Make Kids' event take place, with Professor Chris Deery, providing a detailed exploration of caries management.
The Titanic Hotel Belfast was the setting for our 2019 Gala Ball, a new and stylish venue, and an evening of good food, entertainment and dancing was had by all.
This year also saw the full implementation of our online booking system for Branch CPD and social events. All attendees are encouraged to book in advance - there are three easy ways to do this: by online if you are booking an individual place; or by downloading the booking form on the event web page and posting or emailing it back to us; or by giving our events team a call on 020 7563 4590. For any queries please do email our events team.
This year also saw the full implementation of our online booking for Branch CPD and social events. All attendees should book online in advance. After the event you can log in to the BDA CPD Hub and download your certificate.
Our revamped BDA Northern Ireland Branch Facebook group continues to grow and is one of the most active Branch groups. Please visit our Facebook group page and keep up to date on all Branch events and activity.
As always, we could not deliver our Branch programme without our sponsors. Our thanks go to Cannon Hygiene LTC, Oral B, Coincidental, DMI, GCUK, M&D Financial Management LTD, Colgate, Denplan from Simply Health Professionals, GSK and McDowell+Service for their continued support. Please take the time at our BDA Northern Ireland Branch events to speak to the sponsors who support your experience at Branch events.
We are always looking for ways to improve. If you have any comments or suggestions, please contact the Branch: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Hoping to see you all in 2020 as I hand over the Presidency on Friday 17 January 2020. Thank you for sharing the experience and making 2019 truly memorable.
Claudette Christie, BDA NI Branch President 2019
