BDA Northern Ireland secures pause on cessation of hard copy schedules for dentists
4 December 2019
BDA Northern Ireland has secured a pause on the planned cessation of hard copy schedule submissions, which was due to be implemented from 1 December.
We have continually raised dentists' concerns about the online Dental Portal’s functionality with the Health and Social Care Board (HSCB) and Business Services Organisation (BSO).
Both organisations have now acknowledged that there are significant issues which must be addressed before the planned cessation can take place.
BDA Northern Ireland representatives will soon be meeting with HSCB/BSO to discuss concerns with the Portal and the wider eDentistry programme. We will make the case that dentists need systems that are fit for purpose - not just another source of frustration and extra administration.
If you are experiencing any issues with the Dental Portal, then please let us know
, so we can raise it with the HSCB/BSO.
