About the BDA board
The board, officially known as the Principal Executive Committee (PEC) for the purposes of trade union law, agrees the strategy, policy and business operational plans for the Association, and holds the Chief Executive and his staff to account for their implementation.
Elections to the BDA's board take place in the autumn of every year with a third of all 15 seats available for nominations. One of these seats is always a UK-wide seat so all eligible members have the opportunity to nominate themselves on an annual basis. The other four seats are restricted to those members that live in the particular region.
