Getting a fairer deal on pay: take part in NHS digital dental survey
1 February 2018
The BDA is encouraging dentists to take part in the NHS Digital Dental Working Patterns Survey, which focuses on dentists' working patterns, motivation and morale, to help get a fairer deal on pay.
The survey is open to all primary care dentists who performed some NHS/Health Service dentistry in 2016/17 and/or 2017/18 in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
We support the survey, as it is a vital part of evidence for the Government's pay review body (Review Body on Doctors' and Dentists' Remuneration, known as the DDRB) and the findings will be taken into account in Government's deliberations on the setting levels of dentists pay each year.
We encourage eligible dentists to take part and complete this NHS Digital survey, to help make a stronger case for the profession – the survey is available online.
The closing date for completing the survey is Monday 12 March 2018.
Each year, we undertake a wealth of research and provide evidence to the DDRB to make the case for a fairer deal for dentists in terms of pay and working lives - our most recent evidence for 2018/19 will be available soon.
