Registration is now open for LDC Conference 2020, which is taking place on 4-5 June in Brighton, and LDC members are encouraged to contact their LDC Secretary to book their place and consider the motion/s their LDC would like to submit.

LDC Conference aims to give a platform to dentists across the UK to share their issues and concerns, through motions submitted by LDCs which are passed to the General Dental Practice Committee, who can raise these issues with Government, policy-makers and other key stakeholders in dentistry.

LDCs are encouraged to consider writing and submitting their motions, which need to be received by Friday 3 April, more information on the process of submitting motions is available in the Conference Chair's latest blog and on the LDC Conference website.

Last year's LDC Conference passed a motion to encourage and support the involvement of younger members of the profession to get involved in their LDC. This year, LDC Conference is offering 25 special observer places, reserved for those who are new to dental representation, first time Conference attendees, and those who are within the first 10 years of their career.

If you are interested in coming as a special observer, please get in touch with your local LDC, or contact the LDC team at the BDA to locate your local group.

Special observer delegate places will be funded by LDC Conference, with travel and accommodation expenses covered by your LDC. A special induction event will be taking place for special observers on the morning of the 4 June, just prior to the start of the Conference to give an overview of the purpose of the Conference and how to get the most out of it.

LDC Conference would also like to celebrate the 'unsung heroes' of our profession, if you know someone who you feel deserves recognition for their contribution, please nominate them by Friday 3 April.

LDC Secretaries can now book places for their representatives via the LDC Conference website, the closing date for bookings is Friday 3 April and hotel places are can be booked via MICE Concierge.
