Revenue Grant Scheme - reminder
20 March 2019
Practice owners are reminded that all eligible purchases for this year's HSCB grant scheme must be made and invoiced by 31 March 2019.
However, applicants do have until 30 April 2019 to submit their grant applications to the Board.
This year's £1 million non-recurrent grant scheme focuses on assisting dental practices to meet current and impending patient care, quality and safety standards, as well as modernising practice ICT.
Practices which don't have any digital radiography capability can also apply to purchase dental x-ray film digital image converters.
Each practice should have received a letter with the total amount of funding available to them under this scheme, based on the number of GDS registered patients in a practice at 31 January 2019.
Richard Graham, Chair of the BDA's Northern Ireland Dental Practice Committee said:
"The message is quite simple: each practice should act to draw down the allowance available to them in advance of the closing date".
"This in no way makes up for the wholly inadequate fees under the SDR, and the enormous impact this is having in general dental practice. We continue to make the case for a suite of measures, not least the restoration of commitment payments, in putting Health Service dentistry back on a sustainable footing".
