eDental discovery survey for dentists in Scotland

14 August 2019

The National Services Scotland eDental Programme Board is holding a review to help understand what clinical information could be provided to GDPs through access to secondary care patient health data and is asking dentists to take part in a survey.

NSS is contacting GDPs in Scotland and asking for their views on the following topics:

  • What access GDPs currently have to NHS Board or national clinical systems.
  • What information could potentially be provided from secondary care that would benefit GDPs during their treatment of patients.
  • Specific considerations that should be taken into account to support the provision of domiciliary care.
  • How GDPs currently deal with information from the responses provided to referral from secondary care.

The aim is that responses will assist in understanding the potential future information needs from primary care.

The deadline for responses is 5pm on Friday 23 August.

The responses will be analysed and a report provided for the eDental Programme Board detailing the findings and recommendations.

If you have any queries, a comments section is available within the survey for any general feedback.
