We campaign for fair pay for all dentists, a mandate which stretches from negotiating with government to organising strike action when other routes have been exhausted.
For some cohorts of hospital dentistry, the BDA has had no choice but to pursue strike action after the Government has failed to meaningfully engage with negotiations, alongside our counterparts at the BMA.
As your trade union, we are legally required to ballot our members – by post – in order to secure a mandate for industrial action. We cannot call a strike without having done so.
Ahead of any future ballots, we will run data capture campaigns to ensure we have the correct employment details for you. In the meantime, you can help us by ensuring your details are up to date on My BDA.
