Tom Thayer
Consultant & Hon. Lecturer in Oral Surgery, University of Liverpool Dental School & Hospital. Tom graduated in 1982 and has followed an eclectic career pathway through general dental practice as a practice owner, primary care Oral Surgery, Maxfax, University teaching, work for the regulator, and finally convinced someone to give him a consultant NHS post. In fact, he has been known to say that the only thing not on the CV is the Army – but he did learn to drive a tank when at school! He has a long-standing interest in education within dentistry, the mis-diagnosis of facial pain and the non-surgical management of TMD and sat on the panel for the latest GIRFT/RCS guidance on treatment of TMD.

Linda is a community dentist, working in St Helens. She joined Branch Council as salaried services rep, but wound up taking on the Branch Secretary role to help out in an emergency and is still helping out several years on.
