The BDA Research Team sits within the Policy and Professional Services Directorate of the BDA and is responsible for a wide range of research and evaluation activities, including:
- Research on dentistry in order to understand the state of the dental profession, its needs and what it requires from government
- Research on dentists' perceptions, service and policy needs and attitudes towards the wider dental industry
- Membership research to understand the views, perceptions and priorities of dentists
The BDA Research Strategy provides a strategic framework for research and evidence-gathering activities to support BDA decision making. It sets out the principles underpinning these activities, and defines the BDA's long-term research priorities.
The BDA's research activities are organised around a set of topics in dentistry, examples of which are shown on the left hand side of this page.
