BDA Northern Ireland Office and Committees

The BDA Northern Ireland Office provides a first local point of contact for BDA members living and working in Northern Ireland, as well as providing strategic support and advice to BDA committees in Northern Ireland.

Working on your behalf

BDA Northern Ireland and its elected committee members seek to improve conditions for the delivery of dental services across the country, negotiating directly with the Northern Ireland Executive.

Dentists working in Northern Ireland are represented through the Northern Ireland Council, the Northern Ireland Dental Practice Committee, the Northern Ireland Salaried Dentists Committee and one seat on the BDA’s Principal Executive Committee.

We also seek to influence other key-decision makers, including educational institutions, political parties and statutory, and non-statutory organisations.

We represent dentists working throughout Northern Ireland through our office based in Belfast.

Our committees meet regularly to consider the issues affecting the dental profession and patient care. BDA representatives take these issues forward into discussion and negotiation with the Northern Ireland Executive and the range of bodies responsible for delivery of health and social care.
