What to expect​

The BDA's South Wales Dental Conference is an annual event and the highlight of the Branch's professional programme. This years’ conference will be held at the impressive Parkgate Hotel in Cardiff City Centre on Friday 21 and Saturday 22 June.

The two day event is aimed at dental professionals from a wide range of backgrounds, from new graduates to highly experienced practitioners. This years’ working title is 'Dentistry at the cutting edge' and the programme centres around excellence in everyday practice. The event will provide dentists and dental care professionals with an update on different specialties and will be an exciting opportunity to network with like-minded individuals. 

Topics include:

  • Minimally invasive caries management
  • Molar Incisor Hypomineralisation 
  • Oral potentially malignant disorders
  • An introduction to human factors
  • Dental oncology and the role of the GDP
  • Dental acupuncture for the dental team
  • Pathways to success in endodontics
  • Business and money advice
  • Management of endodontic-periodontal lesions

If you feel at all unwell, we encourage you to take a lateral flow test the evening before you are due to arrive - should your test result be positive, we ask you not to attend.

If your test is negative, but you do have symptoms of COVID-19 (a new, persistent cough; a high temperature; or loss/changes to your sense of taste or smell) we kindly request you consider not attending the event to mitigate any risk to other attendees.
