What to expect

The British Dental Association Extraordinary General Meeting will be held online Friday 2 October 2026 at 13:15.

All members are invited and very welcome to attend.

The purpose of this EGM is to consider and vote on the matters set out below.

Please note these meetings will always be provided in the BDJ and the agenda for the meeting and items for discussions are posted below.

Please note you have to pre-register for this EGM. Once you have booked your place, you'll be sent a booking confirmation email (usually dispatched daily around 09:00), please follow the link on this confirmation email to generate your unique link for the EGM webinar. Please note: without this unique link you will not be able to log on.

No CPD is provided.

If you are unable to attend this EGM online, you can vote by proxy. Further information on how to do this can be found in the 'More information' section below.

1. To consider and, if thought fit, approve, as a special resolution of the members of the Company, the adoption of the following draft articles of association posted on the BDA website regarding

A. The cancellation of the PEC elections scheduled for autumn 2026

B. The revised structure of the Principal Executive Committee from January 2028

as the articles of association of the Company with immediate effect in substitution for and to the entire exclusion of the existing articles of association.

If you cannot attend the EGM yourself but wish to vote on the resolutions you can request to have your vote cast by a proxy, the Chair of the PEC, Eddie Crouch.

“I, (member name - BDA member number) wish to appoint the Chair of the PEC to vote as my proxy at the EGM of 2 October 2026 and direct my proxy to vote as follows:”
