Bedford Section - Indemnity: all the latest

Len graduated from the Royal London in 1989 and is a general Dental practitioner who runs a mixed NHS/private 7 surgery practice in Woodford Green. He is also Head of Indemnity at the British Dental Association and an examiner for the “ORE” examination. Len is on the Editorial Board of Dental Update magazine.
Len also teaches on the MA in Dental Law and Ethics at the University of Bedfordshire and lectures widely on clinical negligence, risk management and NHS dental practice.

Raj Rattan owned and operated a small practice group for some 30 years. He was involved in postgraduate education first as a Programme director and later as Strategic Associate Dean for foundation training in London. He has provided consultancy services to public and private sector organisations including the NHS, Denplan, dental corporates and the Department of Health where he has previously served as a Policy Adviser. He is the author/co-author of several textbooks and numerous articles. Raj has lectured extensively throughout the UK and internationally. He was a part-time dento-legal consultant at Dental Protection for over 20 years before taking up his current role as Dental Director in 2016. He is a visiting Professor of general dental practice at the college of Medicine and Dentistry.
Outside dentistry, his interests include writing fiction, philosophy, motor sport and magic. He is a member of the Magic Circle and in 2011 was awarded the Hoffman prize for his work on exposure.
