What to expect

Stacey Tsang will discuss many different scenarios that may require a referral to an Orthodontist as well as what the GDP can do. Timing is as important factor for many cases as well as how management of different malocclusions differ in timing. This session will cover impacted teeth, poor prognosis 6s, IOTN, IOFTN and hypodontia.

Learning objectives

  • Know when to refer an orthodontic patient depending on their presentation
  • Understand considerations and timings for referrals for impacted teeth, canines, supernumeraries, poor prognosis teeth and hypodontia
  • Be able to recognise malocclusions that would benefit from interceptive treatment.

Meet the speaker

Stacey Tsang

Stacey is a multiple award-winning orthodontist who has fine attention to detail. She has gained a wide range of experience in Oral Medicine, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Oral Surgery, Restorative Dentistry and Paediatric Dentistry. This enables her to provide a holistic approach to the care she delivers.

Stacey works in Private practice at Geans Clinic and as an NHS Consultant Orthodontist to which she is the lead Cleft Lip and Palate Orthodontist offering consultations, second opinions, and a wide range of treatment of complex cases including hypodontia, orthognathic and impacted teeth.
