What to expect

This hands-on study day is designed for dental professionals looking to develop their skills in the injection moulding technique for composite resin restorations. Kostas Karagiannopoulos will explore when and how injection moulding can be used effectively, alongside the key principles of wax-up design that support predictable clinical outcomes.

Through expert-led demonstrations, clinical discussions, and video presentations, delegates will be guided through each stage of the injection moulding process, reviewing the technical and clinical steps involved. The session will examine the latest materials, alternative treatment approaches, and the current evidence surrounding injectable resin composites, while comparing the advantages and considerations of digital and analogue workflows.

A practical hands-on component will provide the opportunity to practise the injection moulding technique on typodont models, helping delegates build confidence and refine their skills. By the end of the day, participants will be able to deliver efficient composite restorations with excellent anatomical outcomes while incorporating time-saving techniques into their clinical workflow.
