A new programme of events will begin this November with leading clinical speakers, new networking opportunities, and a vibrant event experience designed to help colleagues connect with one another.
Running from November through to spring 2027, the programme will feature a series of engaging events led by respected voices from across dentistry. The line-up will begin with Dipesh Patel, Consultant and Specialist Oral Surgeon, and continues with a range of opportunities covering bioceramics in everyday endodontics, aesthetic treatment planning, the links between periodontal health and systemic disease and finally a look at structurally compromised teeth, all designed to inform, inspire, and spark discussion.
An exciting programme begins
Alongside thought-provoking content, attendees can look forward to a welcoming and inclusive environment, with more opportunities to meet peers, share experiences, and build professional networks.
Events will take place in a contemporary warehouse-style venue with retro and Art Deco-inspired interiors which prioritises comfort, conversation, and socialising. In addition to the main speaker sessions, attendees will have opportunities to connect with colleagues, expand their professional networks, and meet key BDA representatives, including Eddie Crouch, Chair of the BDA in January; Callum Youngson, President of the BDA in February; and Len D'Cruz, Head of BDA Indemnity in March.
Refreshments on arrival will be included in the ticket price, and attendees will be invited to continue conversations after each event.
Welcoming for everyone
To make the events as accessible to as many people as possible, tickets will be available at:
£15 for members, foundation dentists, and dental care practitioners
£35 for non-members
Free for students.
The programme is being designed to create value before, during, and after each event, giving attendees opportunities to continue conversations, share ideas, and strengthen connections within the dental community.
Recognising years of dedication
As BDA’s London network begins this exciting new chapter, we would like to thank the Metropolitan Branch committee for its dedication and commitment to supporting local members over many years. In particular, we recognise the significant contributions of Secretary Nazli Imtiaz and Treasurer Barry Edwards, whose longstanding service was instrumental in sustaining branch activity and engagement across London.
We would also like to pay tribute to the late Simon Gallier, whose enthusiasm and commitment played an important role in fostering a strong and active branch community. The first event in the new programme will be dedicated to Simon's memory and to all those who have contributed their time, energy and expertise to the success of the Metropolitan Branch over the years.
As we launch this new programme, we look forward to building on that legacy and continuing the tradition of a vibrant, engaged and thriving dental community across London.

Whether you are a regular attendee or considering joining us at one of these events for the first time, we look forward to welcoming you this autumn for a programme that promises fresh perspectives, valuable connections, and a strong sense of community.
