IN-PERSON EVENT, hosted by the Dundee and Perth Section

What to expect

Join the Dundee and Perth Section on Wednesday 8 October for an opportunity to network followed by an evening lecture with Julie Kilgariff on dental trauma, increasing delegate knowledge of the long-term management of traumatic dental injuries (TDI’s) in the adult patient. The evening will close with the AGM (open to BDA members only).

Learning objectives

  • Be aware of the rationale for following–up traumatic dental injuries (TDIs)
  • Review what to assess for at follow-up and why
  • Know how to remove a splint
  • Review and discuss real-life TDI case complications likely to be encountered in the dental setting, along with the current evidence supporting case management.

Meet the speaker

Julie Kilgariff Consultant in Endodontics

Julie is a Consultant in Endodontics at Dundee Dental Hospital. She qualified from Dundee University in 2000 and in 2009 completed specialist training, becoming registered on the specialist endodontic list with the General Dental Council. She currently works a Consultant in Endodontics at Dundee Dental Hospital and Core Training Advisor with NES. Julie manages all aspects of endodontic problems and dental trauma injuries. She is involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and training in Endodontics and dental trauma to permanent teeth.
