What to expect

Alex Milosevic will review and comprehensively describe the different dental ceramics and their application. Dental materials, particularly ceramics, have expanded significantly over the past decade resulting in confusion and unsure application. Alex will review ceramics and explain how to bond predictably to tooth substance.

Meet the speaker

Alex Milosevic Chair in Restorative Dentistry, The University of Lancashire

Alex has straddled both academia and the NHS having been a F/T NHS consultant in restorative dentistry at Liverpool University Dental Hospital from 1999 to 2016 and then a Professor in Prosthodontics at the Mohammed bin Rashid University in Dubai from 2016 to 2020. He has over 75 published papers & book chapters, mainly on tooth wear, and has lectured in North and South America, Europe and Asia. He is an examiner for the specialty MPros of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and was awarded life membership of the BDA (2017) and honorary membership of the British Society of Prosthodontics (2025). Alex will clarify what can be a complex area in dentistry.
