What to expect

Join the BDA East of Scotland Branch and the British Society for Paediatric Dentistry (BSPD) for lecture designed to equip dental professionals with the skills to understand, communicate, and manage diverse care giver expectations regarding paediatric dental treatment, aesthetics, and cultural differences in care.

  • Understand the expectations of care givers regarding their child’s dental health
  • Explain treatment choices versus aesthetic demands to care givers effectively
  • Develop communication strategies for managing care giver expectations regarding wait times and interim care
  • Manage the risks associated with patients seeking care abroad and the legal implications of non-standard treatment approaches.

  • Discuss asymptomatic caries management and anterior aesthetic demands
  • Discuss strategies for managing children while on long waiting times for specialist care and advising care givers on interim/shared care

The building has full wheelchair access via The Royal Scots Club Members’ Entrance at No. 30 Abercromby Place. Non-members with accessibility needs can use the intercom to gain access to the building.

Transport

By Road

From the West, follow signs into the City Centre, eventually turning right onto Queen Street, taking the third left into Queen Street Gardens East and right into Abercromby Place.

From the East turn onto York Place, which continues into Queen Street. Turn second right into Queen Street Gardens West. Turn right onto Heriot Row, which changes into Abercromby Place after the traffic lights.

By Rail

Exit Waverley Station onto Princes Street and turn left. Turn right onto South St Andrew Street and head straight passed St Andrews Square onto Dublin Street, turning left onto Abercromby Place.

Reception is located at 29 Abercromby Place.
