What to expect

Elaine Cook, Dento-legal Consultant at Dental Protection, will share common pitfalls and practical tips to help delegates strengthen their everyday record-keeping practices.
The aim of this session is to enhance understanding of efficient and effective record keeping standards that support patient safety, clinical effectiveness and regulatory compliance, whilst incorporating recent procedural updates.

Meet the speaker

Elaine CookDento-legal Consultant, Dental Protection

Elaine served as a regular officer in the Royal Army Dental Corps and the Royal Air Force for 21 years. She has also worked within the NHS, private, hospital, prison and community dental services and so has a broad knowledge of many areas of clinical dentistry.
She has been a Dentolegal Consultant for Dental Protection since September 2014. She is still a practicing general dental practitioner and is also legally qualified.
She is currently the Vice President Legal Medicine of The Faculty of Forensic Law & Legal Medicine (FFLM) of the Royal College of Physicians London and sits on the British Dental Association Armed Forces Committee
