This event will give an overview of updates in dentistry from the viewpoint of the Chief Dental Officer.

Gillian is a practice owner in East Lothian and is a practicing dentist. She has a specialist interest in oral surgery and dental implants.
She spent the first part of her career as a dental officer in the Royal Navy and retired as a Surgeon Lieutenant Commander (D) after 13 years of service. She is a veteran of the Iraq war.
She has been the DCDO for the West and North of Scotland health boards where she was heavily involved in the delivery of NHS payment reform. She is currently the Chief Dental Officer (CDO) for Scotland.

We are looking for enthusiastic members to join the West of Scotland Branch committee. A role on the committee is a great way to get involved in the BDA at a local level and to help provide and shape local educational and networking events. It’s also great to have on your CV!

The Branch has the support of the centrally-based Local Services team who are on hand to help and advise on any aspect of running the Branch and planning events.
