What to expect

Andrew Mee will discuss patient assessment and ways to decide whether you should treat or refer. He will also explore potential complications in oral surgery and how they can be avoided or managed.

• Look at a variety of oral surgery procedures, treatment planning and risk avoidance
• Give a better understanding of what can be tackled in practice and when to refer
• Discuss the importance of preparing patients for complications and ensuring informed consent
• Advise on how to tackle complications when they arise in practice.

Meet the speaker

Andrew Mee Oral Surgeon

Andrew qualified in 1992 from Kings College London and is a specialist in oral surgery. He worked in various hospital jobs at Kings College, Bristol, The Eastman, Bath and Oxford, and then worked in General Dental Practice for 8 years in London, Coatbridge, Drumchapel and the West End of Glasgow. In 2004 Andrew and his wife, Veronica, opened an oral surgery referral clinic on the High Street in Glasgow, which is now the Albion Clinic.
